The Capital Area Trauma Regional Advisory Council offers some subsidized continuing education courses for its member agencies, as well as information about courses, conferences & seminars offered by both our regional partners and educators outside of our region. Registration forms and links to further details about upcoming courses are listed below. If you are interested in a course in the TSA-O area, but are not associated with a member agency, please contact us before sending in a registration. If you have a need for educational offerings, if you or your organization has a course to offer, or if you would like to request funding for an upcoming course, please download and complete the appropriate form, then submit to training@catrac.org

Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), 9am-6pm March 23&24, 2017:AMLS is endorsed by the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP). It is accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS) and is recognized by the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT). Students who successfully complete the AMLS course will receive a certificate of completion that is valid for four years.

FP-C/CFRN Certification Exam Review & Advanced Practice Update, June 30, 2017 (3pm - 8pm) & July 1&2, 2017 (8am - 5pm): This course is designed to meet, or exceed the recommended materials review set forth by the certifying bodies who confer the FP-C, CFRN, as well as the CCP-C advanced certifications. Attendance in this course will allow the student to understand knowledge strengths, and weaknesses in order guide final preparations for certification exam attempts. The student will also receive valuable test-taking tips based on feedback from former students who successfully passed their certification exams.

Austin/San Antonio Skywarn Program: The Austin-San Antonio National Weather Service Office offers Skywarn severe weather training throughout year. Most Skywarn trainings are conducted in the Spring to coincide with severe weather season and allow citizens, first responders, emergency management, amateur radio operators, and volunteer organizations the opportunity to learn about severe weather preparedness and safety. Scheduled trainings are free and open to the general public. There is no pre-registration unless specifically noted on the schedule or link.

Child Sex Trafficking Webinar Series: This web-based training series is presented by The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Stephanie V. Blank Center for Safe and Healthy Children and the Governor's Office for Children and Families. It aims to educate healthcare professionals on sex trafficking of children and teens. The series includes six individual modules which will be presented via live webinars.
